Our friend, Don Neufeld, nourished a deep commitment to the teaching of Civil War history, and participated with gusto and passion in tours and symposia offered by Pamplin Historical Park.

Don’s family has requested that Pamplin Historical Park establish a Memorial Fund in Don’s name that perpetuates his interest in teaching Civil War history. Thus, we have created the Don O. Neufeld Civil War Education Endowment.

Proceeds from the Endowment will be dedicated exclusively to conducting the kinds of educational activities that Don so much enjoyed. In this way, Don’s memory will be linked with the highest quality programs relating the pathos, sacrifice, and relevance of our Civil War heritage to future generations.

Contributions to the Endowment may be made electronically by clicking on the Don O. Neufeld Endowment link. Donors may also contribute by mail at Pamplin Historical Park, 6125 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA 23803 or by calling 1-877-PAMPLIN or 804-861-2408. Checks should be payable to Pamplin Historical Park, citing the Neufeld Endowment on the memo line.

Pamplin Historical Park is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Contributions to Pamplin Historical Park are tax-deductible consistent with federal law. All contributions will be gratefully acknowledged in writing.
