Winter Operating Schedule:
The Park is open Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 - 5:00.

Located near Petersburg, VA Pamplin Historical Park is about 30 minutes south of Richmond and is convenient to both Interstate 95, 85 and US Highway 1.



Directions to the Main Park Entrance:
6125 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA 23803

From Richmond and Points North:
Take I-95 south to I-85 south, to Exit 63-A (U.S. 1 south). Proceed one mile to Park entrance on the left. The Park is 30 minutes south of Richmond, VA.

From Appomattox and Points West:
Take U.S. 460 east to U.S. 1 north. Proceed 1/2 mile to Park entrance on the right. The Park is 90 minutes from Appomattox.

From Williamsburg, Norfolk, Virginia Beach:
Take I-64 west to I-295 south. Travel south to Rt. 895 west. Take Rt. 895 west to I-95 south. Travel south on I-95 to Petersburg. Take 1-85 south to Exit 63-A (U.S. 1 south). Proceed one mile to Park entrance on the left. The Park is 1 hour & 15 minutes from Williamsburg.

From Suffolk and Chesapeake:
Take U.S. 460 west. At Petersburg, U.S. 460 becomes I-85. Follow I-85 south to Exit 63-A (U.S. 1 south). Proceed 1 mile to Park entrance on the left.

From Charlotte and Durham, NC, and Points Southwest:
Take I-85 north to Exit 63-A (U.S. 1 south). Proceed one mile to Park entrance on your left. The Park is 2 hours from Durham.

From Raleigh:
Take U.S. Highway 1 north to I-85 north and proceed to Exit 63-A. Proceed one mile to Park entrance on the left. Park is 2 hours from Raleigh.

From Jacksonville, Fl, and Myrtle Beach, SC and Points South:
Take I-95 north to Petersburg and take I-85 south. Proceed approximately 5 miles to Exit 63-A (U.S. 1 south). Proceed one mile to Park entrance on your left.


Directions for School Groups, Special Events, Civil War Adventure Camp, and Park Administrative Offices
Follow the directions above to U.S. 1. use route 670 (Duncan Road) which is 1/4 mile north of the Park entrance to reach the School Group Entrance (Education Center), Park Administrative Offices, and the Civil War Adventure Camp.
